1. “Basic Papermaking for children and adults” (children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult). Meet at COA behind Turrets Building on porch. 9AM-Noon. Adults $35. Children under 13 years $10. Taught by Susan Gosin.

2. “Banner Collaboration Workshop” for children (ages 8 and up). Explore brushstroke and color. Adults $25. Children $15. Banners to be exhibited around the Island. Meet behind COA Turrets Building on backside lawn. 9AM-12. Taught by Carol Shutt.

Banners will be displayed at the Marine Museum in Northeast Harbor and Willowinds Riding School, Bat Harbor.

3. “Landscape Painting on the Island” Part I for Adults (including “young adults”). Meet at Causeway Club Barn, Southwest Harbor. Painting site will be announced. $50 per session. 9AM-1PM. Bring bag lunch. Taught by Richard Barrett. Painting medium open. Bring own supplies. All levels encouraged.

This two day “plein-air” workshop will be outdoors and concentrate on the interaction of light, air, water and land in the Maine landscape. Various techniques to render the relationship of these elements will be explored.

Tuesday
July 29

1. “Papermaking/Watermarks Workshop” Children and Adults (children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult). Meet at COA Turrets Building back porch at 9AM-12 noon. Adults $35 and Children $10. Taught by Susan Gosin.

2. “Writer’s Workshop” Adults only. $35 Meet at COA. 9AM-12 noon. Bring writing materials. Taught by Roxana Robinson.

Wednesday
July 30

1. “Landscape Painting on the Island” Part II Meet at Causeway Club Barn, Southwest Harbor. Painting site TBA. $50 per session. 9AM-1PM. Bring bag lunch. Taught by Richard Barrett. Painting mediumopemn. Bring own supplies. All levels encouraged.

2. “ Digital Filmmaking with mini-DV and iMovie” Adults only. Part I. 9:30AM-4 PM (Bring bag Lunch or eat at COA cafeteria) $50. Meet at COA. Taught by Mark Lipman.
It is not necessary to register for both days.

3. “Basic Film animation for Kids” Meet at COA. $25. 9:30AM-12:30PM. Taught by Nancy Andrews. No filmmaking experience necessary.
